At work, I was seated next to a coworker. We had a strict deadline, and in order for us to conclude our task, he had to send me a sizable file. We didn’t have a USB drive with us, the file was too big to email, and only one of us had a MacBook, so we couldn’t utilise AirDrop. Because the file was greater than 2GB, we were ultimately compelled to split it in half and send the two halves via WeTransfer.
The experience was quite annoying. The only method to move a file from my colleague’s laptop to mine was to send the data to another continent first, but I could hand my colleague a toffee from the bowl on the table we were sitting at.
A Source Of Irritation
This had occurred previously as well. It is impossible to send huge files by email or through third-party applications like WhatsApp or Slack. It compel you to use yet another third-party service with annoyance restrictions like file size, speed, or registration requirements. There’s always a catch, and whichever service you choose, your files will always be kept on an unidentified server somewhere on the internet.
Building A Solution
It had to alter, so I set to work creating a remedy: ToffeeShare. With ToffeeShare, there are no speed or file size restrictions, and if you’re on the same network, your data doesn’t even need to leave the building because nothing is ever saved online and you may transmit files directly from your computer or smartphone.
