Although the second quarter of 2020 was a nightmare for all manufacturers, sales began to improve in the second half of the year. Manufacturers are seeing even better sales figures in 2021, and a number of cars have performed much better than they did before the extraordinary events of last year. In the month of February 2021, which cars attracted the most buyers? Take a look at this list of the top 25 best-selling cars in the Indian market last month.
The top four positions on this list were taken by Maruti Suzuki, India’s best-selling automaker. Swift was the best-selling car in February 2021, with 20,264 units sold in that month, and Baleno was close behind with 20,070 units delivered. With 18,728 and 16,919 units sold, the Wagon R came in third and the Alto came in fourth.

Last month, the Hyundai Creta maintained its spot as the country’s best-selling SUV, with 12,428 units sold. Maruti Suzuki also took sixth, seventh, and eighth places, and the three cars are locked in a tight contest. In February 2021, 11,901 units of the Dzire, 11,891 units of the Eeco, and 11,585 units of the Vitara Brezza sub-4m SUV were sold.
The Hyundai Venue and Grand i10 Nios came in second and third, respectively, with 11,224 and 10,270 units delivered. The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga came in eleventh place with 9,774 units delivered, and the Hyundai i20 came in twelfth place with 9,001 units. Kia took the next two spots, with the Seltos selling 8,305 units and the Sonet selling 7,997.
In February 2021, the Tata Nexon became the homegrown manufacturer’s best-selling vehicle, with 7,929 units shipped. The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, the entry-level model, came in second, with 7,040 units sold last month.
Tata reclaimed the seventeenth and eighteenth positions, selling 6,832 and 6,787 units of the Altroz and Tiago, respectively. In the second month of 2021, the Maruti Suzuki Celerio came in second with 6,214 units delivered. With 6,018 units sold last month, the Innova Crysta became Toyota’s best-selling model and India’s 20th best-selling car.
The Honda Amaze and Mahindra Bolero were both the best-selling products for their respective brands in February 2021, with 4,939 and 4,843 units sold, respectively. Hyundai Aura, Renault Kwid, and MG Hector took the last three spots on the list, with 4,300, 3,927, and 3,662 units respectively.
