Following the lead of Airtel and Vodafone Idea, Reliance Jio, one of India’s three major telecom companies, has raised the rates of its prepaid plans. The new prices will take effect on December 1st, which is today. This leaves Jio customers with only today to save money by recharging at the old rates. By recharging today, users can save anywhere from Rs 16 to Rs 480.
How Much Do The New Reliance Jio Prepaid Plans Cost?
Jio’s Rs 75 JioPhone package has increased by Rs 16 to Rs 91. In the meantime, the Rs 129 unlimited calling+data package has increased in price to Rs 155. The prepaid plan for Rs 149 is now Rs 179, while the prepaid plan for Rs 199 is now Rs 239. The Rs 249 prepaid package has also increased in price, now costing Rs 299.
In terms of longer validity plans, the Rs 399 plan now costs Rs 479 and includes 1.5GB of data every day. The Rs 444 package now costs Rs 533 per day and includes 2GB of data. The 84-day validity plans, which previously cost Rs 329, Rs 555, and Rs 599, are now Rs 395, Rs 666, and Rs 719, respectively, and give 6GB data (total), 1.5GB data per day, and 2GB data per day.
Jio’s two annual unlimited calling plans have also seen a price increase. After December 1, users would have to pay Rs 1559 for the Rs 1299 package, which includes 24GB of data (total). Meanwhile, the Rs 2,399 package has been reduced to Rs 2879 and now includes 2GB of data each day.
