With the 0.14.0 update, “Infection Mode” was first introduced on PUBG Mobile last year. The game was only available for a limited time, however. The game mode in today’s patch has made a comeback! We hope to see more spooky types as we get closer to Halloween.
12 players are split into two teams in the game mode, i.e., Defenders and Zombies. To win, before the timer runs out, Defenders have to protect themselves, while Zombies have to infect Defenders to win. With pumpkins, the map is now scattered and the colours have shifted a little.
Something SPOOPY this way comes! đź‘»

Three players randomly transform into infected players, or zombies, after that. There are countless respawns and greater health for the infected ones. They do not have a shield and with melee attacks they have to take down the defenders (humans).
On the other side, the defenders have to live for three minutes while the infected are killed. When defenders are killed by zombies, they transform into infected people as well. The infected person’s aim is to transform all defenders inside the time limit into zombies.
All players turn into defenders again when a round ends. Three players will randomly become infected after 25 seconds. This is going to continue for three rounds.
Depending on the number of kills in the three rounds a player gets as an infected or defender, they are given points that add to their overall rating. After a match ends, based on their results, players will be able to see their position.
