When Free Fire was unexpectedly banned, players were concerned about their former accounts. Many players’ accounts and in-game items were temporarily lost during the PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite bans. They were only able to get them back 10 months after the games were banned, when Battlegrounds Mobile India (the Indian version of PUBG Mobile) was published.
Free Fire gamers, on the other hand, need not be concerned because they can link their old accounts to Free Fire MAX, the improved version of the battle royale game. The Google Play Store still has the free Fire MAX available. Unfortunately, iOS users will be unable to follow suit because the game has been pulled from the App Store.
Using Firelink technology to link old accounts in Free Fire MAX
Garena’s Firelink technology allows players who are playing different versions of the battle royale game to play together as a squad in the same match. Players can also use this technology to link their old accounts to Free Fire MAX.
To link their old accounts to the upgraded version of the game, mobile gamers must do the following steps:
Step 1: Download and install Free Fire MAX on your mobile device.
Step 2: They must then launch the game and log in using the same platform as they did for Free Fire.
When players check in to the game using the same platform, the Firelink technology will instantly link the two accounts. Many Android streams are switching to the improved version of the battle royale game as a result of this technology. The best part is that none of the in-game stuff you bought have been lost.
Currently, there is no need to link previous accounts because the games can still be played on live servers. Players will be asked to tie their previous accounts with the improved edition of the battle royale game once the servers are shut down.
