Many brands of smartphones are expected to launch 5G-ready devices in India this year. Phones such as the OnePlus 9, the Realme Narzo 30, and the Samsung Galaxy A52 are expected to launch with 5G support. Although these phones are yet to make their Indian market debut, there are still plenty of choices ranging from Rs 20,000 to Rs 80,000 on the market.
With strong hardware, a decent set of cameras, and a large battery, we have made a list of the best 5G phones available in India. OnePlus 8T, Xiaomi Mi 10i, Realme X7 Pro, iPhone 12 Series, and more are included in our list.
Xiaomi Mi 10i | Rs 20,999
The mid-range devices currently provide a strong processor, so you’re not going to have any problems in the output department. The Xiaomi Mi 10i is powered by a Snapdragon 750G processor from Qualcomm. With this 5G smartphone, you do get some bloatware, though. There is a 6.67-inch full-HD+ LCD display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and support for HDR10+. There is a huge 108MP Samsung HM2 sensor in the back camera setup. The Mi 10i also has a 4,820mAh battery with 33W rapid charging support.
OnePlus Nord | Rs 27,999
As is the case with most OnePlus smartphones, OnePlus Nord will give you a snappy score. The mid-range 5G draws strength from the strong Snapdragon 765G SoC from Qualcomm, which can handle games that are graphically challenging very well. A 6.44-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 safety is available on the phone. You get stereo speakers as well.
Including a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, the smartphone has a quad rear camera setup. It provides optical image stabilization service (OIS). 4K and 1080p videos, super slow-motion videos, as well as time-lapse shots can be taken. OxygenOS, which will give you one of the best Android experiences, is one of OnePlus’ key selling points. If you are unaware, OxygenOS does not have any bloatware, advertising, and provides intuitive functionality for a fluid UI experience. A 4,115mAh battery that supports a 30W charger is supplied by OnePlus Nord.
Realme X7 Pro 5G | Rs 29,999
Another fantastic 5G mid-range phone you might consider buying is the Realme X7 Pro. It offers a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ flagship processor that is built on the 7nm system. While playing games like PUBG, Genshin Effect, or Fortnite, users will not have any problems. With this tablet, you get needless native Realme software, which you can’t uninstall.
It has a regular 6.55-inch full-HD+ AMOLED 120Hz refresh rate display, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 security, peak brightness of 1,200nits. Support for HDR 10+ does not exist. A 64MP quad rear camera setup and a 32MP sensor are supported for the recently released Realme X7 Pro. You also get Dolby Atmos-supported stereo speakers, much like the Mi 10i. A 4,500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging is located under the hood. For Rs 29,999, it is open.
Oppo Reno 5 Pro | Rs 35,990
The Oppo Reno 5 Pro is also a 5G smartphone, available for Rs 35,999 in India. It offers the same MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor that powers the Realme X7 Pro 5G system mentioned above. You also get an in-display fingerprint sensor, a 65W charge-supported 4,350mAh battery, and a selfie camera with 32MP. A quad rear camera configuration is available that houses a 64MP camera. The specs are very similar to the Realme X7 Pro, but with the Oppo phone, you get a better camera experience and the new Android OS.
OnePlus 8T 5G | Rs 42,999
OnePlus 8T is one of India’s best 5G phones, no doubt. You’ll get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC flagship, which is combined with the Adreno 650 GPU. A vivid and premium display, good cameras, strong battery life, and efficiency are available for the mid-range flagship phone. Currently, this is the only OnePlus phone to provide quick charging for 65W.
You get OxygenOS 11 with OnePlus 8T, which is designed for one-hand use and offers lots of features. A 6.55-inch full-HD+ Fluid AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support is featured on the 5G handset. A 4,500mAh battery and a quad rear camera system, including a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, are supported.
iPhone 12 series starting from Rs 64,490
Launched in late 2020, the iPhone 12 series comes with 5G and Wi-Fi 6 support. Four phones, including the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, have been released by Apple. Such devices come with the most powerful and newest A14 chipset from Apple, which is built on a 5nm process. They deliver a 60Hz refresh rate OLED monitor, outstanding cameras, and a refreshed design.
A lightweight 5.4-inch display comes with the iPhone 12 mini, which is the most affordable 5G phone in the series. A 6.1-inch screen is included in both the regular and iPhone 12 Pro models. There is a huge 6.7-inch touchscreen on the iPhone 12 Pro Max. The Max and Pro models have the same triple rear camera configuration, and there is a dual rear camera configuration for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini versions. As Amazon is selling it at a reduced price of Rs 64,490, down from Rs 69,900, it is possibly the best time to purchase the iPhone 12 mini. Bank and swap deals are also available on the e-commerce platform, which takes the price down by a wide margin.
Samsung Galaxy S21 series starting from Rs 69,999
Lastly, you can purchase the new Galaxy S21 5G series phone from Samsung. You get the home-brewed Exynos 2100 flagship processor from the company, which supports 5G as well as Wi-Fi 6.
