FAUG, short for Fearless and Unified Guards, nCore Games’ latest mobile action game, a competitor of the banned PUBG Mobile India, has received five million Google Play Store downloads. The FAUG game was released on Republic Day by Akshay Kumar just days ago and it has already become Google Play’s top free game.
Right, FAUG, with brawler-style gameplay, has a story mode and there are no weapons. The first plot is based on the Galwan Valley of Ladakh, the site where a fierce confrontation between Indian and Chinese soldiers took place last year.
Many players and feedback equate FAUG with elements of PUBG Mobile India’s battle royale and other advanced features. Vishal Gonadal, co-founder and CEO of nCore Games, however, teased that players should expect battle royale mode, multi-player mode, weapons, and battle pass soon.
FAUG is available for download on the Google Play Store for Android users.
Here are the 4 characteristics that will be launched with future FAUG features:
1. Battle Royale Fashion
Putting the similarities between FAUG and PUBG to rest, Vishal Gondal explained that the game is not a PUBG clone. But in the future, FAUG will feature a Battle Royale mode. Earlier, the nCore Games CEO spoke about some FAUG features that were in the trailer but not released on launch day in the title. The game begins right now with a story mode that only allows single-player and co-operative gameplay.
The first will be the story mode. And then we expect we will immediately introduce more features and improvements over the period of six to eight months,”The story mode will be the first one. And then we are hoping that over the period of six to eight months intermediately we will be launching more features and updates,”
An online multiplayer video game genre is a battle royale mode that incorporates the survival, exploration, and scavenging elements of a survival game with last-man-standing gameplay. Dozens to hundreds of players are interested in Battle Royale games such as PUBG and Fortnite, and they can even compete in teams. They start with minimal equipment and then all other opponents must be removed while avoiding being trapped outside of a diminishing safe area, with the last player or team alive being the winner.
2. Pistols
Because of the India-China agreement on no weapons in the Galwan Valley, FAUG has no guns. However, at some level, nCore Games plans to add weapons to the game. But in the Galwan Valley, weapons will not be visible and will be part of another map.
3. Mode for multiplayers
Among some exciting upcoming features in FAUG is multiplayer mode as well. NCore Games has stated that the game is coming soon with multiplayer combat. It is not clear whether they will be rolled or limited to just the battle royale mode for the Galwan Valley campaigns.
4. Battle Pass
When FAUG receives an update, a combat pass will also be available, but it is not there yet. A battle pass is a form of approach to monetisation that gives users exclusive rewards such as skins of characters and so on as they hit certain levels.
