In October of this year, UIDAI released an Aadhaar card in the form of polyvinyl chloride (PVC). You would be able to hold the PVC Aadhaar card in your wallet just like your debit or credit card or PAN card. UIDAI puts it as “Your Aadhaar is now more robust, easy to hold, instantly verifiable offline, equipped with the latest security features.” UIDAI enables Indians to obtain their Aadhaar letter reprint on PVC card by paying nominal fees of approximately 50 percent. Residents who do not have a registered mobile number can also use an unregistered mobile number or any alternative mobile number to order them. In reality, for the whole family, one person may order Aadhaar PVC cards online, using his or her mobile number.

How do you order an Aadhaar PVC card?
– Go to the following link: https:/residentpvc.uidai.gov.in/pvcreprint-order
– To order the Aadhaar card, please fill in your Aadhaar or Virtual Identification Number or EID.
The Aadhaar card comes with protection characteristics, i.e. Stable QR code, Hologram, Ghost picture, Guilloche template, etc. digitally signed
– Press ‘Return OTP.’ To obtain an OTP, you can order your Aadhaar card using your registered mobile number or Alternative Mobile Number.
– The Aadhaar preview is only available on registered mobile devices. The Non-Registered Mobile Based Order does not have a preview of the Aadhaar card data.
– You can also use Time-Based-One-Time-Password (TOTP) via the m-Aadhaar Application.
– You will need to make the necessary payment after submitting the OTP and your PVC Aadhaar reprint will be ordered.
